A man claiming to be attacked by a tiger has allegedly sustained injuries near the location where two former fatal attacks occurred on the banks of the Narayani River. Little information is available at this time.

400+ Arrested After Village Mob Attacks Authorities

Oct 26 – Bandhavgarh National Park, India. Tiger Kills Teacher; Mob Retaliates.

A school teacher was killed by a tiger near Bandhavgarh National Park in Katni district on Friday. The resulting angry mob attacked policemen, journalists and forestry department staff. They set vehicles on fire and took hostages before the authorities could regroup and quell the confrontation. Forestry staff will attempt to locate and safely capture the tiger for relocation.

Tribes Moved From Tiger Reserve

Oct 27 – Bhubaneswar, India. Tigers 1 – Humans 0

Hundreds of tribal families are being relocated to outside Similipal Tiger Reserve in Odisha state. The relocation policies are allegedly voluntary and include compensation however, London-based charity Survival International is questioning the moves by the authorities.

Woman Killed Near Kanha National Park

Oct 27 – Madhya Pradesh, India.

A 22-year-old woman was attacked and killed while collecting firewood near the park. The Park’s Field Director said the tiger won’t be declared a “maneater” and that it’s been successfully ushered back into the bark by elephant mounted rangers. Compensation has been provided to the victim’s family.

Oct 27 – Rahmankhera, India. Tigers Attack Humans During Bathroom Break

Forestry officials and tracking teams are racing to safely capture and relocate a tiger before she’s killed by hunters. Conservationist Sanjay Narain says “Tigers may not attack a man if he’s standing but those squatting on the ground are often attacked.” The important lesson here is to always take a shit while running at full speed.
